In this website I will examine two counties on either side of the Mason Dixon line, and attempt to compare and contrast the architectural styles of each. For the north, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. For the south, Augusta County, Virginia. I will attempt to show that though both the north and south had unique architectural styles, their architecture was more of a mixing pot for a truly unique ‘American’ Architectural style.
